As of August 30, 2026, Koala’s live pricing page lists Boost at $99/month, Growth at $179/month, Elite at $350/month, Advanced at $500/month, Scale I at $750/month, Scale II at $1,250/month and Scale III at $2,000/month. The page also points to a lighter Professional plan at $49/month.

Why Boost is the meaningful breakpoint

Professional is the lower-cost way into the platform, but Koala’s current positioning makes Boost the first plan where the new growth-system concept is fully expressed. Boost includes one brand with full Brand DNA, the agent without a message cap, content-calendar autopilot, 250,000 KoalaWriter words, 2,500 platform credits, one-click CMS publishing, KoalaLinks, live SEO data, Deep Research, API access and bulk writing.

That does not mean every solo publisher needs Boost. It means comparing Professional and Boost should start with whether you need the agent and automation layer, not simply with monthly word limits.

How to choose a tier without overbuying

• Choose the lighter plan when you mainly want KoalaWriter and the broader platform but do not need full agent/autopilot workflows.
• Choose Boost when one site or brand needs the complete Brand DNA workflow and automated content calendar.
• Move to Growth when you manage several brands and need substantially more words and credits.
• Treat Elite and Scale tiers as capacity decisions for agencies, portfolios or high-output operations—not as quality upgrades for a small site.

Free start and refund terms

Koala states that new accounts receive 5,000 free words and 25 credits with no credit card required. Its pricing page also describes a 15-day refund window for new paid plans when usage remains under the stated limits. Because eligibility conditions can change, read the current refund text before buying rather than relying on an old screenshot.

A better way to think about value

Do not compare Koala only against another AI writer. List the tasks you currently pay for: content generation, SERP research, AI chat, image generation, internal linking, schema management, Search Console analysis and publishing automation. Then compare the overlap.

If you would keep most of those separate subscriptions anyway, the all-in-one argument weakens. If Koala can replace several tools and remove manual handoffs, the workflow value becomes more important than the raw word allowance.
